CONTRAINDICATIONS
Medical Conditions
The following medical conditions are contraindicated for Kambo treatment. Individuals with any of these should not undergo Kambo:
Aneurysm
Active ulcers
Alcohol dependence
Addison’s Disease
Brain injuries
Blood clots
Recent chemotherapy or chemo drugs (within 6 weeks)
Drug dependency (e.g., opioids, benzodiazepines)
Diarrhoea lasting several days (due to electrolyte imbalance)
Gastric sleeve or band surgery
Heart issues (any)
Organ transplant
PTSD (only with advanced practitioners)
Bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, psychosis, or personality disorders
History of psychiatric conditions (must be disclosed)
Medicated low blood pressure
Recent surgeries (less than 8 weeks post-operation)
Stroke
Pregnancy
Breastfeeding (under 6 months postpartum)
Within 21 days of childbirth
Under 18 years of age
Severe asthma (severity-dependent; inhaler required)
Diabetes (insulin, testing strips, and food required during treatment)
Recent use of Bufo (8 weeks prior)
COVID vaccination (minimum 6 weeks post-vaccination)
MEDICATIONS
Certain medications may interfere with Kambo or increase risks during treatment. The following are contraindicated:
Antipsychotics
Antiepileptics
Antidiuretics (wait 5 days after cessation for Kambo)
Diuretics
Antibiotics (should not be taken simultaneously with Kambo)
Benzodiazepines (4 weeks withdrawal required)
Alcohol or recreational drugs (abstain for at least 48 hours prior)
Weight-loss drugs (e.g., Ozempic; refrain for 2 weeks prior)
Note: Anti-depressants and the contraceptive pill can typically be skipped on the morning of treatment and resumed immediately afterward.
Pre-Treatment Guidelines
To prepare your body for Kambo and ensure safety:
Do not eat for at least 8 hours prior to treatment.
Limit water intake to one or two few sips on the treatment day.
Abstain from alcohol or recreational drugs for 48 hours.
Avoid fasting, including juice or water fasting, for 48 hours before Kambo.
Eat a substantial meal the day before your treatment.
Refrain from saunas, sweat lodges, or excessive exercise 24 hours before treatment.

It is essential for clients to disclose all relevant medical information, including medications and past conditions, to their practitioner. This ensures a safe and tailored approach to the Kambo process.
